My Journey of Self-Discovery
I want to share insights from last week and show how they directly relate to overcoming common entrepreneurial challenges. In July, I embarked on a 3-week holiday with my family, a time not just for making new memories but also for deep contemplation about my professional path.
During this period, I pondered over crucial questions. Should I return to the corporate realm, braving the daily commute to London, navigating early mornings, and juggling work hours to prioritise my children’s needs, or should I persist in nurturing my own business venture?
After careful consideration, I resolved to continue fostering my business. This decision brought about a pivotal realisation: the misalignment of my online presence. Initially geared towards attracting corporate clients, my LinkedIn profile and website failed to capture the essence of who I truly am. As I embraced heart-led entrepreneurship, I recognised my ideal clients as heart-led business owners, such as SMEs, entrepreneurs, and founders who value authenticity. This clarity provided a sense of freedom, allowing me to align my professional image with my true self, and I felt a mix of liberation and trepidation. The corporate settings, with their established staff, were not where my focus should lie. Embracing authenticity that resonates with heart-led entrepreneurship, I felt a renewed sense of purpose and clarity.
I requested an external perspective by engaging a digital marketing consultant, who noted that my online presence lacked the warmth and care that define my personality, qualities often remarked upon by those around me. To respond to this feedback, I will include a section that shares personal experiences and stories, aiming to reflect the genuine and compassionate approach I bring to my work.
